July Fourth, Two-thousand-seven
Sometimes you find your goal at the very core of what you thought you’d left.
Sometimes life reaches into your heart and pulls you inside-out.
What begins with games can end with sweaty amazement, and your world expanding with vertigo-inducing speed.
All your passion, all your ambition gets redirected towards goals you never thought you’d crave, and you come to realize that the Universe loves you very much, and knows you far better than you know yourself yet. It wants to play with you, and its games feel so, so good.
It also cannot resist a practical joke—the bigger the setup, the deeper the shock, the better.
